QuikPlan are one of the country’s leading providers of domiciliary and homecare software. Designed specifically for homecare and domiciliary care agencies, QuikPlan automates a whole range of administration tasks such as staff rostering, timesheets, invoicing and expenses.

The benefits to agencies include time and efficiency savings with the potential to save up to 80% on admin time. With the software in place, QuikPlan asked Ventutec to create a mobile solution to provide even more flexibility to users.

App Requirements

  • An easy to use mobile app for use on the Android Operating System.

  • Incorporation of GPS mapping to plan efficient routes between appointments.

  • Near Field Communication (NFC) technology to provide the ability for real time appointment monitoring.

  • The ability to share notes to connect all members of the team.

  • Development of portals to allow carers and clients to view timesheets.

Development of the QuikPlan Mobile App

Incorporating innovative NFC (Near Field Communication) technology, the app provides reliable and efficient Live Appointment Monitoring (LAM) so the care agency knows exactly where each care worker is at any one time.

When a new service user comes on board, simply install a QuikPlan NFC sticker in the care plan, which is stored within the service users home. Each time a care worker visits, they simply swipe their phone over the sticker as they enter and again when they leave. When the sticker is swiped, unique details programmed into the sticker are retrieved, along with the care workers mobile number, the date and time and the GPS location. This information is pushed back to the software programme so the care agency coordinators have the very latest information.

In addition, care workers can access the following information via the mobile app:

  • Real time visiting scheduling for forthcoming appointments
  • Service user details
  • GPS mapping with automated route planning from one appointment to the next
  • Team note sharing functionality connecting all members of the team.

QuikPlan Website Design and Development

Following the launch of the new mobile application, QuikPlan chose to work with Ventutec on the production of a new company website and supporting literature.

Retaining their existing Search Engine Position, QuikPlan wanted a fresh new design for their site. The challenge was to create a website that gave visibility to the full range of software features whilst delivering key information, client benefits and service promises in an easy to follow visitor navigation.

QuikPlan also had a requirement for the development of new software features including QP-Live, which is a live real time monitoring tool, that the Care agencies use to track their carers. We developed this to work alongside the Mobile App, as carers swipe the NFC sticker it can be seen almost instantly within the desktop software.

We knew we wanted to develop a mobile App to give greater access and functionality to our Home Care agencies and approached Ventutec to build the system for us using Near Field Communication technology. The QuikPlan Mobile App is now widely used by our agencies who are delighted with the increase in capabilities and accessibility it provides them. Ventutec developed the App to our specifications and continue to support us, providing updates and ongoing development when needed.
