Responsive Website For New Road Events Worcester

As part of our role as the official digital partner for Worcestershire County Cricket Club, we were asked to design and develop a website to support New Road Events, the club’s hospitality and catering arm, and showcase the facilities available.

As well as creating a web design to support key messages, the backend system needed to be easy to use and update so the marketing team could manage the site on a day to day basis to support ongoing marketing activities.

Web Design Brief

With extensive facilities, New Road can cater for a whole range of events, from networking breakfasts and corporate events, to family parties and weddings.

It was important to get this across within the website layout and design to avoid alienating any audience in particular. We also needed a clear user journey that would help potential customers to navigate to the information they required quickly and efficiently.

Following an extensive refurbishment, we also needed to highlight the quality of the facilities on offer at New Road.

Website Requirements

  • A fresh, modern look and feel to reflect the quality of the facilities.

  • A dedicated gallery to showcase the venue being used and provide inspiration to party planners.

  • Clear promotion of the packages available for comparison purposes.

  • Improvements to the navigation to guide users to the information they need.

  • An easy to use, intuitive Content Management System (CMS) to manage the site.

Our Solution

Designed to showcase the range of facilities available, the new site offers all the information party and event organisers need.

The extensive gallery shows each newly refurbished venue being used for a range of occasions, whilst the Room & Suites section incorporates the use of icons so the user can quickly identify which package(s) is most suitable for them.

With clear navigation throughout the site and an intuitive booking process the site is already proving popular with the wide target audience.

The marketing team are able to update the site with event scheduling software to manage events, as well as a more robust automated system to deal with general enquiries.

As part of a longer term project, we will also be integrating the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to manage online bookings and availability and further increase business efficiency.
