Matt takes the pain for Leukaemia CARE

Ahead of this weekends RideLondon cycle event, our Director Matt braved the pain of waxing his legs to reach his fundraising target of £500 in aid of Leukaemia CARE.

Stripes beauty boutique in Worcester kindly waxed Matt’s legs to help with his fundraising ahead of his cycling challenge.

Matt says “I never expected it to hurt that much, but to have achieved my fundraising target is fantastic. The next challenge will be on Sunday when the cycling starts.  A very big thank you to Stripes who were very gentle, or so they say and to everyone who has helped me hit my target’

Matt will be starting his RideLondon 100 mile bike ride on Sunday at 9am.

Good Luck Matt

RideLondon For Leukaemia CARE

Our very own Director Matt Lloyd is participating in this years RideLondon taking place on Sunday 1st August.  Cycling 100miles around many famous London sights, Matt is raising money on behalf of our retained client Leukaemia CARE.

Matt aims to raise £500 for the charity and to help towards his final fundraising push he will be having his legs waxed for donations next Friday at Stripes Beauty Boutique in Worcester.

Matt says ‘Working closely with Leukaemia CARE I hear about the patients and their families and really wanted to do something to support such a great team and the services they provide.   I cycle, so this was the perfect challenge for me. It will push my boundaries, especially the box hill section of the route!’

Matt has it on good authority from many of his cycling friends that smooth legs will help him go faster. We think they might just want to see him in pain.  Surprisingly or not, we’ve had a few clients and even more members of the Ventutec team wanting to be the first to rip off a strip of wax!  Good luck Matt !!
